Chinese Conference on Biomedical Ontology and Terminology(2022)

中国生物医学本体和术语研讨会(2022)

(CCBOT 2022)

Beijing

9/28/2022-9/29/2022

Chinese Conference on Biomedical Ontology and Terminology (CCBOT) is an annual series of academic conferences on the development and application of bio-ontologies in China. It will be held in Beijing on September 28-29, 2022. The conference will be co-sponsored by National Population Health Data Center, NPHDC; Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & School of Basic Medicine, Peking Union Medical College; Institute of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences; Institute of Medical Information, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; Information Professional Committee, Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine and other relevant institutions.

In the context of flourishing data-intensive science, it is crucial to efficiently integrate and discover knowledge in heterogeneous data. Semantic standards provide important support in the management and application of biomedical data. However, there is a lack of unified biomedical semantic standards in China. This conference will focus on “FAIR ontology making scientific data more FAIR” and explore how FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) can contribute to the development of biomedical data standards with the aim of accelerating the sharing of scientific data and the discovery of potential knowledge.
